Synopsis:
Get ready for a toe-tapping, heartwarming celebration of one of country music’s most legendary voices! Always…Patsy Cline brings the iconic singer’s hits to life in a heartfelt musical packed with humor, friendship, nostalgia, and unforgettable music.

Based on the true story of Patsy Cline’s bond with devoted fan Louise Seger, this charming production features beloved classics like “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.”

EMMI BILLS (Patsy Cline) (she/her) is delighted to be making her Geva debut stepping back into Patsy’s iconic cowgirl boots! Favorite previous credits include Patsy Cline (Always…Patsy Cline), Sandra Bloom (Big Fish), Electra (Gypsy), and a myriad of characters (both human and puppet) touring with Madcap Puppets, sharing original muppet-style puppet shows with children and families across the Midwest. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University and is based in the Chicagoland area, where she works with children as a teaching artist. SONJA MARQUIS (Louise Seger) (she/her) is thrilled to make her Geva Theatre debut revisiting a role she loves! Other favorite roles: The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Betty), Mamma Mia! (Rosie), Souvenir (Florence Foster Jenkins), Ordinary Days (Clair), and the world premiere production of What Springs Forth (Sallie Ben) at Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre Company. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and has also worked regionally as a sound designer, director, and theatre arts instructor. Helping build the next generation of theatre-makers has filled her cup; she has worked with young artists of all ages as a director, playwright, and mentor, and is currently a Lecturer with Oakland University’s Department of Theatre. Big gratitude to Thalia and the Geva team, high-five to Emmi, and smooches to Mike!
